“Surpassed every expectation despite a fabulous first impression. We wanted a chilled wedding in a beautiful location where we could chose every aspect ourselves , and Malt House Barn fitted the bill from the first call. Janet is absolutely the warmest, most accommodating, calm and unbelievably helpful lady with an eye for detail and a wealth of knowledge. The venue is extensive……a superbly fitted barn ( huge room which can accommodate ceremony [ if weather is poor] a great space for the band, a bar area, kitchen, immaculate guest cloakrooms, vast enclosed area for caterers, immaculate gardens with beautiful open views, gazebo for outdoor ceremonies, plus stunning bridal suite and two extra rooms for overnight guests. Absolutely nothing about it failed to impress.
We looked at many venues but the set up at Malt House Barn wowed us from the off. There is not a single thing I could fault here. A fantastic venue ready to ” make your own” run by a wonderful knowledgeable lady who is justly proud of what she created. “A Perfect Day, A Perfect Venue. We cannot recommend Malt House Barn highly enough. We had an absolutely beautiful day on our November wedding, and Malt House Barn was the perfect venue for us. We were able to plan every detail which allowed us to add personal touches in all aspects which made our day feel like “us” which was really important. Malt House Barn was the perfect venue for this as we were able to have everything exactly as we wanted. While we decided to add some decorations, the venue is so beautifully finished that we wouldn’t have needed to!
With a built in bar, high quality sound system, kitchen facilities and overnight accommodation, we had absolutely everything we needed. The rooms and bridal suite especially are so lovely, with lots of space for getting ready in the morning. There is even good storage space at the venue for the bits and bobs we brought along to help setting up the day before. We had the ceremony and reception here and the transition of the space (from ceremony, to drinks, to dinner, to party) all went so smoothly we didn’t even notice! The venue also has a great heating/air con system which kept the temperature just right all day for us.
The surrounding area and the grounds make the setting perfect. The dramatic and beautiful countryside was a perfect backdrop through the windows during our ceremony, and was brilliant for our photos as the weather was kind even in November. Janet and the team couldn’t do enough for us, Janet was so helpful with everything both in the run up and on the day, and there was no detail too small for her to help us with. “The perfect wedding venue. Amidst the chaos of wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic, choosing the Malt House Barn as a venue was the best decision we made. We came across the Malt House Barn while looking for venues that could provide us good flexibility. We wanted to host a reception with 100 -120 guests, with the option to hire our own caterers and decorators which many other venues did not allow.
The venue is purpose built, brand new and beautifully and tastefully made to host a ceremony or reception. The main venue hall can be seperated into 2 rooms with the room divider or opened up into 1 large room. There is a stage for small dance performances (6-7 people) or DJ/musician. There is also essential facilities adjacent to the room including toilets, kitchen, bar. Outside there is 2 beautifully maintained bedrooms which can be hired for an additional cost and 1 bridal suite which is included in the package.
The venue is run by Janet and family who have worked seamlessly with us and our wedding planner to create the perfect experience for us. From arranging site visits to liaising with suppliers they have kept clear communication and been warm and welcoming throughout. The Malt house barn was truly the perfect venue and I would recommend this to anyone who would like a cosy barn-like ceremony or reception and the independence to make their wedding their own with amazing support from Janet and family.” – Sindoora
